Giants rookie WR Malik Nabers receives his rookie jersey number before camp begins

Of course, this situation remains fluid. On many occasions, rookies end up wearing a different number than they begin camp in when they start their NFL career. 

He will share his number with New York's kicker to kick off his career, but don't be shocked if he is rocking a different digit by the time the season starts. As for now, Nabers is focused on getting up to pro speed and finding chemistry with his teammates. 

Nabers has pressure on him to be the top receiver in the offense, but QB Daniel Jones is also drowning in pressure. He must prove to the team and fans that he can be their starter past this season. Drew Lock is expected to give him plenty of competition during camp and the preseason, too.

Regardless, Nabers is the headliner for the Giants offense with Saquon Barkley out of the building. Expect big things from him as a rookie.
