Washington Football Team rookie cornerback Benjamin St-Juste did not practice Wednesday, as he is currently in concussion protocol.

St-Juste took a “good whack” during Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills, Washington head coach Ron Rivera said. St-Juste was cleared to return to the game. But, he felt “off” afterwards and was placed in the protocol.

He played 61 defensive snaps and 12 on special teams against the Bills. He had seven tackles and a pass deflection.

St-Juste has emerged as an outside cornerback, allowing Kendall Fuller to play in his more comfortable slot position. On the season, St-Juste has allowed 12 receptions on 21 targets, according to Pro Football Focus.

Washington (1-2) travels to play at the Atlanta Falcons (1-2) Sunday. If St-Juste is not cleared, Torry McTyer and Darryl Roberts could see action in his place. McTyer has been seldomly used, playing 13 defensive snaps. Roberts is more experienced, but was inactive for each of the first three games this season.
